Professional and Confidential Counselling

The client-therapist relationship is the most vital part of counselling. For you to work through whatever is troubling you, you need to be completely free to explore your feelings and thoughts in a safe, non-judgemental environment.

Professional, compassionate and confidential assistance with a wide variety of problems and issues

I offer a confidential, professional, non-judgmental approach to therapy. I recognise everyone as an individual and offer a personally tailored package of treatment to suit your needs. Every session is conducted in a professional, ethical, and comfortable manner.

The positive changes and general outcomes of therapy include: being free of past emotional distress, having more understanding about yourself with more options in your thinking, more confidence in yourself, more control over your emotional and psychological states.

What is counselling?

Counselling is a talking therapy where you are provided with a safe and supportive environment to share what is troubling you and are listened to in a way that helps you understand yourself better.

The aims of counselling is to talk through your troubles in confidence, to understand things from your point of view, help to reach a clearer understanding and explore resources so that you can deal with difficult situations.

I work as an integrative counsellor and can also offer hypnotherapy, person-centred and psychodynamic therapies, based on the client’s preferences and the nature of the problem. The type of therapy is agreed with a client during the first session.

Beginning therapy is a really positive step towards moving your life forward and making changes that have a real difference.

Therapy can seem daunting, perhaps you feel unsure or apprehensive, but a large part of my role is helping you feel at ease, so you can make the change you want to make.

Some of the reasons you may be considering counselling:

  • Depression, a feeling of emptiness, loss of sense of self
  • Stress and anxiety
  • A lack of confidence
  • Bereavement or loss
  • Addiction
  • Trauma
  • Relationships or family problems
  • Anger issues

Whatever may be the cause of your distress, Counselling and Hypnotherapy can help you to understand and work through painful and overwhelming issues with a compassionate, trained professional.

Research has shown how important the relationship between you and your therapist is to its success, so it is important you find someone you can work with and trust.

The initial consultation will give you an opportunity to see whether I am the right therapist for you and whether you feel we can work together.
