What is counselling?
Counselling is a talking therapy where you are provided with a safe and supportive environment to share what is troubling you and are listened to in a way that helps you understand yourself better.
The aims of counselling is to talk through your troubles in confidence, to understand things from your point of view, help to reach a clearer understanding and explore resources so that you can deal with difficult situations.
I work as an integrative counsellor and can also offer hypnotherapy, person-centred and psychodynamic therapies, based on the client’s preferences and the nature of the problem. The type of therapy is agreed with a client during the first session.
Beginning therapy is a really positive step towards moving your life forward and making changes that have a real difference.
Therapy can seem daunting, perhaps you feel unsure or apprehensive, but a large part of my role is helping you feel at ease, so you can make the change you want to make.
